***

It should be noted that Sandra Bullock actually showed up to receive her award and gave everyone in the audience their own copy of ALL ABOUT STEVE on DVD and even offered to go drinking with them after *next year's* awards... provided they took her award from this year back as a mistake. No one *ever* shows up to pick up their award at the Razzies (last one was Halle Berry for CATWOMAN), so having Sandra show up was really cool - she's a good sport. Hope she wins tomorrow night, too.

Sandra seems to have a good sense of humor. The only other person I can remember picking up a Razzie was Paul Verhoeven (for directing SHOWGIRLS). It's probably disappointing or even hurtful when people award you a "worst something" for your work, but actually showing up to accept the award and give a speech shows a certain bigness.

I wonder if filmmakers and actors actually realize when the movie they're working on is terrible...

Bill Cosby showed up for his, for Leonard Part 6, I believe. Gave a great speech, too. I wouldn't call him no one....

@Ryan: There comes a point in every movie where you realize that it's either going to be universally liked, or universally hated, as in the case of The Razzies. If you don't get to either extreme, then most likely, you'll get to work in the industry again :)

The more serious answer is, if you're doing it for the money, instead of for the work, your movie probably sucks. Movies are very much a collaboration, and ultimately, all it takes is one person with a different agenda to screw it up for the rest of the cast and crew....
