PS: The post about my Levis wasn't supposed to go up until the end of the week - so I put it back in the vault. Let's look at the Oscar Nominees first.

I just found your blog and enjoyed going through your posts.:)

On the Blond and Blonder thing...I am a very blond person not by a "bottle" (like they are in Hollywood) but by genetics. In other words, I'm "pigmentally challenged". Not albino, but not far from it. I was teased as a kid for not having enough color...so what IS just the right amount of color. Guess my white, pasty skin didn't make the grade.

On your interview....I enjoyed it thoroughly! I can tell you have a teaching spirit.
You mentioned, new writers should read lots of scripts. I wanted to also suggest that writing scripts verbatim is also a great learning tool. I homeschool my children and each day they have to do "copywork" which is nothing more than copying words out of a book, the newspaper, etc. I applied this same tool to learn the correct way to write scripts, and has helped tremendously.

Yup. She reminds me of Pauley Perrette--quirky and hot!

Bill,

I don't know if I've ever seen a film with so many closeups of the protag as there are in There Will Be Blood. A feast of a face. It was hypnotising. Over and over again that 12-foot tall face.

I loved Lars and the Real Girl. It was interesting because I laughed...but didn't know if I was supposed to be? Haha. Loved it though.

Love your daily tips! I am an aspiring scriptwriter (TV), and it's all extremely helpful to me. Any other tips about how to get into the business?
